Squirrels do not look dangerous, but they carry various diseases such as rabies. Damage that squirrel can cause at home?
In order to make their nesting, they can destroy the home structure by chewing the opening from sides. They can also chew the vent and chimneys to make their nest in these areas. While making the nest more secure, they often chew the cables and set them at the risk of causing the fire. So they can cause extremely dangerous for the human that house they choose to live in.

Can squirrel cause problems for other animals?
They do not harm other animals or pets that are living with the humans, but they can invade the bird feeders, they can also scare the birds, can take their food. By using a fence around the bird feeder, you can get rid of the squirrel issue as they will not get the way to reach the bird feeders. 

How to protect your home from a squirrel?
As in most of the areas, it is not allowed to kill the squirrel so you can use precautions to prevent squirrel. 

• Trim the branches that touch the house as they can be a great way for the squirrel to get into your house. 
• Cover the vent and chimneys by a proper barrier so they will not get the way to make their nest, it will also prevent other animals from climbing and from getting in the house building. 
• Do not place the food outside.
